We arrived in Casablanca at around midday having caught the train from Rabat. The first thing on our list of things to do was to book our coach journey down to Agadir the next night. Having got our tickets, we next headed off to find somewhere to stay for the night. Being on a bit of a budget we settled for a cheap hotel near to the coach station. Our room was basic, but fine for the one night we would be in Casablanca. So coach tickets bought, room found we then headed into town to find the Post Office to send home cards to let our families know that we were alive and well. The main post office was huge, with mosiacs covering the front and the inside. We were quickly able to buy some stamps post our cards and then head back out for a wander through the streets, admiring the buildings and stopping for an ice cream in the park. There isn’t a huge amount to see in Casablanca, but it was nice to just amble round and sit in cafes sipping on Cokes and coffees. The one site that I made sure we visited was the Hassan II Mosque… prepare yourself for a photo heavy post.
